The product is broadcast applied into the first coat of resinous flooring. After the initial coating hardens, excess grit is removed by vacuum, and the second coat is applied to encapsulate the anti-slip grains.

When properly applied, Nitoflor Anti-Slip Grains 01 achieves significant slip resistance improvements. When saturated into Nitoflor FC150 HP/SL flooring, it enables the system to achieve:

• Wet Pendulum Test Rating: P5 (highest slip resistance classification)
• Dry Floor Friction Test: D1

When used with Nitoflor PU600, the product provides slip resistance with an R11 slip rating.

Application Instructions

The broadcast application process requires specific techniques to ensure optimal performance:

1. Application timing: Nitoflor Anti-Slip Grains 01 must be applied as a light broadcast application into the freshly applied first coat of resinous flooring
2. Application method: Grains should be allowed to fall vertically onto the floor coating rather than be thrown across the surface, which could cause ridges or damage the resinous film
3. Excess removal: After the first floor coating has hardened, any excess grit is removed by vacuum
4. Second coat application: The second coat of resin flooring is then applied to encapsulate the grit
5. Coverage adjustment: Application rates for the second coat will increase with heavy application of grit
