Application Instructions

New Concrete Surfaces

Concure CR should be evenly sprayed over freshly laid concrete as soon as possible after final trowelling. Ideally, application should commence as soon as the surface bleed water has evaporated, typically 1 to 2 hours depending on ambient temperature and atmospheric conditions.

Special Applications and Compatibility

Use with Metallic-Based Floor Hardeners

Chemical Resistance Limitations

Resistant Substrates

Concure CR is NOT resistant to the following chemical substances:

  • Sulphur dioxide (important consideration for certain environments)
  • Oxidising agents (sodium hypochlorite, bromine water)
  • Concentrated acetic acid, concentrated phosphoric acid, concentrated nitric acid
  • Chromic acid and concentrated ammonia
  • Animal fats and oils, synthetic oils (brake fluid, transmission fluids)
  • Vegetable oils and higher fatty acids (oleic acid)
  • Solvent types: Aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, and chlorinated solvents

This limitation should be carefully considered during material specification and site assessment phases.

Storage and Shelf Life

  • Shelf Life: 5 years if kept in original unopened packs
  • Storage Conditions: Cool, dry conditions away from sources of heat and naked flames
  • Temperature Impact: Shelf life may be reduced at high temperatures and/or high humidity conditions

Limitations and Restrictions

Application Restrictions

  • Certain adhesives for vinyl tiles and resilient flooring may be applied only after concrete is thoroughly cured and a test area has been approved
  • Cement-based renders and toppings should not be applied directly over Concure CR; the product must first be removed by grit blasting or grinding to provide a mechanical key
  • Bond failure is likely if applied to substrates subject to back water pressure or where extraneous salt particles are carried to the interface by vapour or condensation

Appearance Characteristics

  • Clear appearance with slight yellow cast is obtained
  • Concure CR will yellow when subject to ultra-violet radiation from sunlight

Cleaning and Equipment Removal

Concure CR should be removed from tools and equipment using Fosroc Solvent 10, ensuring proper maintenance of application equipment.
