Product Intelligence

Renderoc CAC: Technical Details, Specifications, Features, and Entities

Product Overview

Renderoc CAC is a calcium aluminate mortar technology from Fosroc's market-leading Renderoc concrete repair range. This specialized repair mortar is specifically engineered for biogenic corrosion resistance in wastewater applications, providing targeted protection for wastewater structures against unique corrosion challenges.

Product Classification

Renderoc CAC is classified as a specialised repair mortar—a tailored solution designed for extreme conditions rather than general-purpose concrete repair applications. It represents a distinct category within the Renderoc product family that addresses specific environmental and chemical challenges beyond what standard patch repair mortars can provide.

Technical Specifications

Material Composition

Renderoc CAC is formulated as a calcium aluminate mortar, a chemically distinct cement technology that differs from ordinary Portland cement-based repair mortars. This calcium aluminate composition is the foundation of its specialized performance characteristics.

Key Performance Features

Biogenic Corrosion Resistance:

  • Specifically designed to resist biogenic corrosion mechanisms
  • Formulated for protection against biological and chemical attack in wastewater environments
  • Provides enhanced durability in conditions where standard mortars would fail

Application Environment:

  • Engineered for wastewater facilities and wastewater structures
  • Suitable for environments with aggressive biological and chemical exposure
  • Provides long-term structural protection in biologically active environments

Product Positioning

Within the Renderoc range, Renderoc CAC occupies a unique position among specialised repair mortars alongside:

  • Renderoc G — Designed for highly corrosive environments using geopolymer mortar technology with exceptional chemical and acid resistance
  • Renderoc LA55 Plus — High-strength structural repair product for large volume repairs certified to EN1504-3 Class R4

This positioning reflects Fosroc's approach to matching repair mortar technology to specific environmental challenges.
